1) Acceptance

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms & Conditions (the "Terms"). If you do not agree, do not install or use the App.

2) Eligibility

  • You must be able to form a contract in your place of residence.
  • You must use the App in compliance with applicable laws and Apple's policies.
  • The App requires a compatible Mac and a supported version of macOS with clipboard access and (for biometrics) Touch ID hardware.

3) About the App

The App is a one-time purchase native macOS application that provides intelligent clipboard management with smart history tracking, screenshot capture, and secure local storage protected by password or Touch ID. It provides a menu bar shortcut and dashboard, supports dark mode and accessibility settings, and offers automatic cleanup of old clipboard entries.

Data storage uses local secure database provided by macOS. We do not build custom cryptography. Credentials are handled using Keychain where applicable. We do not store plaintext passwords. Operations are performed locally on your Mac. The App does not connect to the internet except for license checks, updates, and optional diagnostics you choose to share.

4) License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on Macs you own or control, strictly as allowed by these Terms and Apple's App Store / macOS licensing rules.

You may not: copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, extract source, or bypass security in the App, except where laws give you a non-waivable right to do so.

5) Pricing, Free Trial & Billing

  • Plans. Basic ($8) one-time purchase plan is available.
  • Free trial. 7-day trial with full features. No credit card required.
  • Payment processor. Payments are handled by Gumroad. By purchasing, you also agree to Gumroad's terms, privacy policy, and tax handling.
  • Taxes. Prices may exclude taxes. Gumroad may collect and remit taxes where required.
  • Invoices & receipts. Provided by Gumroad via email.

6) Refunds

  • 30-day money-back guarantee. Contact support@cliply.app within 30 days of purchase.
  • Trial period. Cancel anytime during the 7-day trial to avoid charges.
  • Refunds. If a refund is granted, access may end immediately.

7) Your Responsibilities

  • Choose a strong password. If you use password protection, pick a strong, unique password and store it safely.
  • We cannot recover your password. Because we do not store plaintext passwords and your data is stored locally, if you forget your password and did not enable Touch ID, we cannot unlock your data.
  • Touch ID. Touch ID requires compatible hardware and macOS settings. If you remove enrolled fingerprints, change user accounts, or disable Touch ID, you may need your password to regain access.
  • Backups. Keep your own backups (e.g., Time Machine). The local clipboard database can be backed up, but corruption or deletion can cause data loss.
  • Compliance. Use the App only for lawful purposes and content you have the right to manage.

8) Security, Performance & Technical Limits

  • Secure storage. The App uses macOS's local secure database. Security also depends on your password strength, system configuration, and physical security of your Mac.
  • Auto-cleanup. You can set automatic cleanup intervals for old clipboard entries. Cleanup may be delayed by macOS processes.
  • No guarantee against all threats. No software can prevent every risk (e.g., keyloggers, malware, insecure backups, or unauthorized physical access to your Mac).
  • Data loss. Clipboard data can be lost due to hardware failure, corruption, or user actions. Maintain backups.

9) Privacy

  • Local-only by default. The App performs clipboard operations locally and does not transmit your clipboard data to our servers.
  • License data. We share minimal information with Gumroad to manage purchases, licenses, taxes, and fraud prevention.

10) No Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not promise the App will be error-free, secure against all threats, or uninterrupted.

11) Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, or use, even if we knew they were possible. Our total liability for any claim related to the App or these Terms is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months before the claim arose.
